my name is melanie baxter i am a mother of 5 i have always done lots of knitting for my children and for charity and decided to start my own project k1 p1 project. this project is small knitted squares sewn together into blankets and posted of to different causes around the world eg:- hospitals,climics,orphanages,care homes,homeless and the list could go on. if u are interested in getting involved its simple.to knit a square in dk wool using 4mm needles cast on 35 sts knit 58 rows cast off using chunky wool and 5 1/2mm needles cast on 28sts knit 42 rows cast of. also needed any unwanted wool would be much appreiciated , also collecting good quality teddy bears and knitted toys to send to children , contact me by e,mail melaniebaxter@live.co.uk . many many thanx xxxx we also knit baby items , cardigans ,hats,mittens etc in memory of my daughter who was born sleeping x

    How you doing?
    I have been looking back on all your previous posts and photos. You certainly have got the hang of blogging now! I'm so proud of you and it didn't cost you a penny did it?
    Love the photos here on your blog of you delivering your blankets.
    I'm getting a lot of help now from my ladies. I want to be able to make up all of the squares I have before accepting any more. My plan is to get these 29 bags of 25 made up before the end of the year! Fingers crossed.
    How many have you got now?
    You are getting a lot of help yourself with these wonderful blankets made up and such wonderful squares.
    I'm so pleased that things are going well for you still.

      hi sue , yes blogging easy i couldnt hav done it without you huni , yes i love my pic of us delivering blankets, yes get quite a lot of help now , i have just over 2000 squares at min that need sewing gosh keeps me busy , ill keep my fingers crossed for u sue you will get your squres done , yes i still love what i do , and i no u do too its a great feeling , hope you and your family ok , you take care lots of love mel xxx
